Parent/Professional Workshop in Aurora
This year's annual parent/professional workshop held in Aurora June 12-13, 2008, will focus on "change." Carolyne Edwards, the director of Auditory Management Services, will be the featured presenter. There is no cost to attend this workshop. The link above includes more information and a schedule for the workshop. Please note the registration deadline has passed.

Day Camp
Students in grades K-5 are invited to attend SNRP's Day Camp June 16-20, 2008, from 9:30 am - noon. There will be science experiments, outdoor play at local parks, arts and crafts, games, and community field trips. Day Camp cost $25 for the entire week of fun, interactive learning (scholarships are available)! Click on the link above for more information and a registration form. Registrations are due June 2, 2008.

Summer Intensive Program
Interpreters are welcome to attend the Summer Intensive Program June 22-27th. Workshop topics will include English equivalents, interpreting teams, mouth morphemes, voicing, working with minimal language skills, and the interpreting process. The link above has a registration form and more details.

EIPA Summer Workshop
The EIPA Summer SKills Workshop July 7-10th will offer two separate training strands. One strand will focus on enhancing interpreting skills and the other strand is for individuals wanting to increase skills in ASL. The link above has a registration form and more details.

Camp Anderson 2008 Parent's Guide
Camp Anderson is for students who have completed 5th grade - high school graduation and will be held
July 13-19, 2008, at YMCA Camp Kitaki in South Bend, NE. Students will participate in numerous outdoor activities such as swimming, boating, fishing, campfires, horseback riding, canoeing, dancing, cooking, and more! Camp registration is closed. Deaf/Blind Summer Institute
The Deaf/Blind Summer Institute will be held in Lincoln July 14-18th! There is no cost to attend this workshop and participants may attend the entire workshop or pick the days they wish to attend. The link above includes information on conference presenters and a registration form.

Teachers, aides, parents, and interpreters who want to learn and enhance their Signing Exact English skills are welcome to attend the SEE II Skillshop in Omaha July 27-August 1, 2008. The link above has a registration form and more details.
