Fall Gathering

Southeast Nebraska Regional Program is hosting a Fall Gathering for students birth through 2nd grade and their family members. Our Fall Gathering will be an opportunity for families to visit activity stations related to fall while connecting with other families. 

When: November 16, 2024

Time: 9:30am – 11:30am

Where: Maxey Elementary (Lincoln, NE)

Deaf-Blind Project Workshop

Title: Considerations and Strategies for Implementing Tactile Tangible Communication Systems

Presenter: Dr. Sarah Ivy, University of Utah

As a Associate Professor and Program Coordinator of the Deafblind Program at the University of Utah, Dr. Ivy’s research is focused on the development and validation of instructional strategies, especially to improve communication outcomes for learners with severe and multiple disabilities, including deafblindness.

Open to parents & professionals.

When: November 9, 2024

The Pajama Jam Dance and Transition Activity

Nebraska Regional Programs is hosting their annual Dance and Transition event for students.  Students will enjoy a dinner and dance on Friday night and activities to strengthen their self-identify and explore their strengths on Saturday.

For: Students in grades 7-12 + who are Deaf or hard of hearing and receiving special education services. 

When: November 22-23, 2024

Time: 5:00 pm Friday – 1:00 pm Saturday (plus travel time)

Where: Norfolk, Nebraska

SNRP PEN PALS FLYER
Would you like to connect with a Nebraska peer who is also Deaf or hard of hearing?  SNRP would love to match you up with a friend to correspond with through our pen pal program!  This is a great opportunity to meet and connect with new friends.  In the future, you may also get the opportunity to meet your pen pal in person at one of our SNRP or statewide activities!
