ASL Game Night

Date: May 11, 2024

When: 6:00pm – 9:00pm

Location: Capitol City Christian Church (7800 Holdridge, Lincoln, NE)

Baseball & Softball Clinic

This one-day clinic is for girls and boys in kindergarten through 5th grade who are deaf and hard of hearing. Instructor will use basic ASL prompts for fundamental instruction, including signs for throwing, catching, batting, and other related activities. Participants will receive an informational email with additional details seven days before the start of the clinic.

Learning Experiences and Adventure Program (LEAP)

This virtual program is designed specifically for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.  These sessions offer individuals the opportunity to enhance their communication skills while connecting with new friends.

ASTra Informational Sessions

Nebraska Hands & Voices Guide By Your Side and Advocacy Support and Training Programs are providing a series of informational Zoom Meetings.

Becoming An Outdoor Family

 This event is for families with children who are Deaf and hard of hearing.  Activities are appropriate for children ages 8 and up.

GenCyber

This is an exciting camp in which campers will explore the world of information technology and cybersecurity! This camp is designed for deaf and hard of hearing students entering grades 9-12. In addition to the daytime program, campers will have the opportunity to explore our Nation’s Capital, go to Six Flags, participate in fun evening program activities, and more!

Immerse into ASL

This exciting, 24/7 American Sign Language (ASL) immersion camp is designed for new signers who are at the beginner or intermediate level. This camp caters to deaf and hard of hearing students entering 10th – 12th grade, motivated to learn ASL and immerse themselves in the deaf culture and history at Gallaudet, just minutes away from the nation’s capital. Hearing campers are accepted if they pass our screening requirements and qualify as intermediate level or above signers.

Explore Your Future

Explore Your Future (EYF) is a six-day career exploration program at Rochester Institute of Technology for college-bound deaf and hard-of-hearing high school students who will begin their junior or senior year in fall 2023. This program focuses on personal growth and career awareness for students as they begin to think about college.

Students who attend EYF who enroll at RIT/NTID for college will receive a $1,000 scholarship and an application fee waiver to apply to RIT at no cost.

Financial Wizards

Financial Wizards is a week-long summer program for deaf or hard-of-hearing students entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade.  This program focuses on helping students enhance their financial literacy skills and provides an opportunity to explore careers in finance and administration.

Tech Tigers

TechTigers is a week-long summer program for deaf or hard-of-hearing students entering 7th, 8th, or 9th grade who are interested in science, technology, engineering and math. Students use state-of-the-art technology to create a high-tech gadget to take home, sample careers in computer technology, conduct laboratory experiments, and more.

Health Care Careers Exploration Program

Students entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in fall of 2024 will learn about carious careers in health care; enjoy field trips to area medical facilities; be a part of hand-on demonstrations in biology, exercise science, laboratory science, microbiology, nursing, and nutrition; become CPR certified; and more.
