The Southeast Nebraska Regional Program is excited to be offering a 6 week VIRTUAL SIGN CLASS for individuals interested in learning or improving their sign skills. There will be a beginning and intermediate track and both will be taught by Deaf adults.

Time: 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

This free activity is for SNRP students in Kindergarten through 7th grade who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing receiving special education services. Students will have the opportunity to meet and socialize with peers and Deaf or Hard of Hearing role models while learning about the art of juggling.
When: Friday, April 5, 2024
Time: Kindergarten – 3rd grade: 5:15 pm – 7:00 pm; 4th – 7th grade: 6:15 pm – 8:00 pm

For students birth to second grade who are Deaf or hard of hearing and receiving early intervention or special education services and their families. Come network with other families and role models who are Deaf or hard of hearing.
When: Friday, April 19, 2024
Time: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Where: Lincoln Children’s Museum

The application and audiogram can sent to SNRP any of the following ways:

- Optimist Application for the 2023-2024 Communication Contest for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (click here)
- Send a copy of your most recent (less than 24 months from contest date) audiogram or cochlear implant mapping report to SNRP
Speeches must be submitted to SNRP by April 19, 2024. After speeches are submitted, no changes can be made.

In order to attend Camp Anderson students are required to write a 250-word essay about why they would like to go to Camp Anderson and what they expect to learn. You will not be considered to attend Camp Anderson if you do not complete this requirement. You may have an adult assist you. Ask at school if you need help with this. You can either write on paper or use a computer and printer. Emails are accepted. High-quality work is expected.
Camp Anderson clubs are led by adults and campers throughout the week. If you have ideas for a club you would like to see at camp, please include them in your registration online. If you think of a club later that you would like us to consider you can contact your regional coordinator.
Each year campers receive a camp t-shirt designed by one of their peers. Any student who would like to create a design for this year’s shirt, should create a legible, black and white design on regular printer paper.
