Nebraska Regional Programs 8th, 9th, or 10th grade students who is Deaf or hard of hearing that meets all of the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply to attend this educational experience! Space Camp is a Future Astronaut Training Program (FATP) developed from authentic astronaut training, FATP motivates campers by emphasizing the importance of teamwork, leadership and problem solving. Campers train in the Cosmosphere’s camp simulators. They also build and launch rockets, tour the Hall of Space Museum and explore the night sky. FATP is an internationally recognized camp that combines space science education with exciting astronaut-training activities. When: October 6-11, 2024
Students will miss school all week. Students will be responsible for making up any work they missed, but will have time in the evenings to work on homework if needed.

Registration: Additional eligiability requirements must be met and all three steps of the registration process need to be completed by September 20, 2024.

Step 2: Complete the recommendation form (both students and staff must fill out the form so please allow time for staff to complete).
Step 3: Students must write a 250-word essay about why they want to go to Space Camp and what they hope to learn. This essay can be handwritten or typed and emailed and returned to SNRP. Students are welcome to use this page but they do not have to.
